Brainworks Neurofeedback

Home Clinic – At Home Neurofeedback Training

Neurofeedback at home is our specialty.

We launched the world’s first remote neurofeedback at home service in 2013. Since then we’ve been refining the method, and have developed our own remote training software for the purpose. It was no small feat.

Today the home clinic has grown into a team of professional clinicians, and most of our sessions are run remotely.

Our at home neurofeedback is ideal for people who live at a distance from London, or simply like the convenience and discretion of doing their sessions at home.

Remote Neurofeedback

Our remote neurofeedback gives you the same level of quality and service as in our clinic.

Experience has taught us that working intensively delivers the best results, and our remote training makes it easy to do. Sessions are generally run four to six days per week, usually in the evening.

We provide you with a complete neurofeedback station; a 19 sensor system capable of both brain mapping and LoRETA neurofeedback training. All you need to do is connect it to your internet and we’ll take care of the rest.

All sessions are conducted one-on-one with a neurofeedback therapist via internet link. Home sessions are available weekdays from 9:00am to 9:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

If you have any questions about neurofeedback at home, please contact us.

What makes our home neurofeedback special?

Ana, our AI Automated Neurofeedback Assistant is what makes our home training a step above.

Ana operates in the background of every remote session, assisting the therapist, and ensuring quality, safety, reliability and security.

A decade in the making and with over 100,000 sessions under her belt, our Ana AI has evolved into an industry game-changer; a must-have for any professional remote training.

There is no software to run, simply connect to the internet and you’re ready to go. Ana checks and coaches you through your setup and is there to help if you have any trouble.

Your sessions will be supervised and monitored at all times, no matter what. If the internet ever drops and your therapist loses connection, Ana is on standby to take over your session and run it like a professional therapist, not like a robot.

Ana fully locks down the computer so that nobody can tamper with it or access your data. All data handling meets HIPPA / GDPR medical data guidelines.

We built Ana her own feedback players; web stream online, use a DVD or choose from the included library. Infinite choice means everyone can find feedback to enjoy.

Ana prepares and loads your session for your therapist. What it takes a therapist minutes to do, Ana can do in mere seconds.

Ana is a great help,  but she doesn’t process brain maps or create training protocols. You need a good human for that sort of work.

On our early trials we used a “do-it-yourself” approach using equipment with 5 individual sensors. Our rate of invalid sessions was a whopping 72%. For some reson this is has become a standard method for remote training. For us it was completely unacceptable.

Using a full cap to ensure proper sensor placment brought it down to a still unacceptable 56%. Inventing a new way to check sensor connections brought it down to 38%.

Using ingenuity, Ana AI supervision, sensor connection tracking and Ana’s sensor correction coaching brought the invalid session rate down to 0%. Zero!

We spent years ensuring that every single session is valid.

Session to session, Ana learns your training preferences. At the point that you don’t need help or daily support, Ana can take over the day to day running of your sessions (20+). This can be a huge cost-saver for those with serious conditions which will require a higher number of sessions.

Refined over 100,000 hours in the field, Ana is quite likely the world’s most experienced therapist.

What is at Home Neurofeedback?

As the name suggests, at home neurofeedback is where you have your neurofeedback training sessions from the comfort of your own home.

Now, perhaps you’re also wondering what neurofeedback is more generally. In short, neurofeedback is a way to train brain activity. Using sensors on the head, our neuro experts can measure and monitor brainwave activity to identify details about issues that you might be having.

Remote Neurofeedback Training – Cost Considerations

All of our neurofeedback training services are priced competitively so that we can help the maximum number of people with their brain training as possible.

While we do have the leading neurofeedback clinic in London, and we are well equipped to make your sessions as comfortable as possible, you don’t get any more comfortable than you own home.

So, we have been offering our leading at-home neurofeedback therapy solutions to clients all over the globe for several years now.

With an easy setup and no travel expenses to and from the clinic, you may find at-home training to be the most cost effective option for you. Also, you still benefit from the same one on one attention from a neuro expert as you would get in any of our clinics.

At-Home Neurofeedback FAQs

Not necessarily, wherever you will feel the most comfortable is where you will get the best results out of your neurofeedback training.

If you would feel more comfortable in our specialist London clinic, then our staff is ready to welcome you. However, if you would prefer to carry out your brain training sessions at home, you will still benefit from the same one on one attention from a neuro expert and industry leading equipment as you would in our clinic.

Remote neurofeedback training is incredibly effective providing you have the proper equipment (which we will send directly to you) and guidance from a qualified and experienced team (like the Brainworks team!).

Experience has shown us that clients can find the results that they’re looking for regardless of whether they’re having their sessions at home or at our leading clinic.

Whether you have your neurofeedback training at home or at a clinic, the side effects are the same (minimal!).

You may find that you are mentally tired and a bit fatigued after a session, the same way you might be physically tired and fatigued after a gym session, but neurofeedback does not have the kinds of side effects that are attributed with medicine.

Since you are not taking anything, rather strengthening your neural pathways by using widely studied exercises and techniques, you won’t experience any physical side effects.

Like most things, the results of neurofeedback training compounds over time.

For the maximum benefit, we recommend doing no less than 12 sessions, and acting on your new found freedom after your sessions by making healthy decisions which align with your long-term and short-term goals.

Neurofeedback can also compliment other therapy techniques like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and/or mindfulness.

A quiet place to sit for your sessions is key, and a regular internet connection will prove useful. Other than these things, we send you everything you need for your at-home neurofeedback training.

Brainworks offered one of the first at-home brain training systems and we have been innovating in the space ever since. With our at-home training you will have access to the same high quality equipment that you would have in our Belgravia clinic.

The Brainworks Approach

Our at home neurofeedback training is purpose built to help our clients get the mental and emotional results that they are looking for.

The process always starts with a discussion to identify your key goals so we can tailor your programme to deliver on those as best as possible.

We then use our sensors to measure and monitor your brainwaves. Using advanced QEEG brain mapping we can identify what activity is contributing to the symptoms that you want to resolve, and work through them.

More frequent and consistent sessions allow us to build on that data and really address the symptoms that made you seek out neurofeedback training in the first place.
